Blog post for Week Five

Hello Everybody! I hope everyone is doing well.

Here is my post:

SD cards were first available in 1999, an SD card holding sixteen MB of data. The three companies, SanDisk, Panasonic (Matsushita), and Toshiba, wanted to invent, develop, and market a product that would be an improved product to compete against a competing company, Sony.  By 2006, SD cards could hold 2 GB of data.

It has become commonplace to use SD cards to hold data from digital cameras, smartphones, tablets, and portable gaming consoles. Advanced technology is finding new ways to improve, nevertheless.

Look for a new SD card early next year, in 2025, which will be able to hold four TB of data.

SD cards have three categories to which they may belong. These are value for money, performance, and their data amount capacity.
